The description of Pixelmon GO - catch them all!
Seems like Minecraft and Pokemon Go rip off a game where you have to lurk around real-world map looking for Pixelmons - mythical creatures of different shape, color, and kind. Make your own collection and fight real players online with them.
You have to go out in the city and search for pixelmons - same genre as in Pokemon Go. Some of them might be too far because there’s limited diameter for your character to interact. Once you see the pixelmon, you have to throw at it your special white and blue cube which reminds the original white and red sphere from Pokemon Go. These pixelcubes you need for catching creatures - pixelmons. Each pixelmon has health and damage lengths, they’re needed for fights. They also can be epic and rare which give you more advantage during fights with other players. I don’t recommend always play with rare Pixelmons because they’re not easy to catch and you need more pixelcubes to get them. You can get pixelcubes by watching ads and buy them for real money (prices are from 1$ up to 100$).
This game has Minecraft graphics - it’s very pixelated. But the Pixelmons look better than players’ avatars, closer to normal animation. The map doesn’t show anything but your character, sometimes other players, pixelmons and a lot of boxes with ads to watch. The whole Pixelmon’s world looks like a desert with roads. I think it would be a good idea to add some kind of city’s monuments’ figurines or some special places so maybe I could learn about other cities when I travel with this game.
There are not a lot of features in this game. You can see only your pixelcubes and game settings at the top right of the screen, your character’s settings at the top left, “grab” the pixelmon icon along with Lure and PVP icon at the bottom center and below that there’s a big icon for watching ads.
There’s no animation in this game besides players’ and pixelmons’ movements. When you fight with other players - it shows you the end result and that’s it.
I don’t care for the sounds which in this game are absolutely horrible and not interested in any way. There’s a limited amount of sounds for each action (catching pixelmons, fights, receiving pixelcubes, etc.) - they all sound the same. I think that they’re not suitable for this game, I’m sure the Pixelmon Go’s creators could make the music and sounds better.
I didn’t like that Pixelmon Go asked too many permissions at the beginning of the game - why would it need it? It’s uploading too long, had too many crashes with it and it got frozen a lot. My eyes hurt when I played this game I don't recommend it for people who have any problems with their eyes. It’s very difficult to play this game without any purchases of pixelcubes. You have to spend more than one pixelcubes on every pixelmon, and there’s not enough pixelcubes to get by just watching ads. I don’t like the idea of this game in general because you get pixelmons at random, so everything depends on the AI. You don’t see the fights, so I never understood why I won or lost the fight. I guess this game is popular amongst people who like collectibles.15 Feb 2019
