The description of Agar.io
Another real-time survival game! We’ve seen snakes, paper now it’s time for balls! Try not to be killed when giant balls around you shoot at you and kill you. You have to eat to survive, grow and eventually dominate the screen! Good luck!
So you are the ball. You can be any kind of ball you want: a planet, a pig, a bowling ball and even fish in the tank. Then you choose game mode - Rush or Classic. First one is for the time which is available since lvl 4, Classic - your go-to game along with other online players. You have to eat little dots on the grid to grow bigger, but better to eat other players which are smaller than you - this way you’ll grow bigger. It means that someone bigger can eat you. You can also shoot other players which in my case never worked - I missed.
You have daily bonus quests which give you extra coins and DNA. In Agar.io you need DNA to make potions which give you different perks of the game (new skins, trophies, coins, etc.) and coins to buy Boosts which help you to grow faster. You can buy both of those for real money (prices are from 2$ to 100$). You can also become VIP for 10$ per week, and you get every day bundles of coins, boosts, and DNAs, you can customize your own Skin and unlock VIP skin every week. You can play with friends as a party or join somebody else’s existing party.
In general, it’s easy to understand and play this game - you just scroll with your finger in the desired direction of your ball and watch it not to die.
The game looks like a piece of paper with squares with colorful dots on it - they’re your ball’s food. I was surprised that the layout of this game has edges - you hit an invisible wall from each side. The balls have simple basic colors. The special ones have pictures inside them, but it’s not original - usually, it’s some kind of famous character. The balls can shoot other balls that look like them, and they can multiply themselves. There are no special effect or animation to the hits and misses. If you die - your ball just disappears. It would be cool if there would be at least statistics on who killed you and with what power so I would understand who to avoid next time I play.
There’s no music available in AGar.io - only sounds. Which is good for me because I don’t appreciate games’s music ever. The sounds to actions are simple enough and easy forgettable which is also good because they don’t get stuck in your head. The creators thought that music was irrelevant and maybe they’re right.
Agar.io is the time, nerves and brain-killer game. I prefer to play games which contribute to my cognitive skills. I also think to really enjoy this game you have to buy all the packages and VIPs available because I personally find this game very difficult. I died very quickly each time, I never understood who has that time to invest to grow really big ball and destroy everybody - must be hours! This game is perfect for the times when you’re bored or when you have to wait a long line. I don’t recommend playing when you’re tired or you’re in stress that can add to those feelings.27 Feb 2019
